The purpose of this site is to showcase the various services that I can offer to
clients, both professional, and members of the public directly under the Bar Direct
Public Access
Scheme.
Visitors to
this site will therefore find information on how I can be instructed
directly by members of the public without the use of a
solicitor, as
well as details of Seminars
aimed at solicitors, HR professionals,
students or businesses. In addition details
of the various publications
that I have authored and how to commission me to prepare written
literature can be found here.
In particular
this site has been created to allow members of the public to have
access to representation by an experienced and effective barrister in
circumstances where otherwise the costs of litigation would make this
prohibitive, and to ensure that any prospective clients have all of the
information that they need to make an informed decision as to the
information that they need to conduct litigation.
Traditionally
access to a barrister has been solely through a solicitor. However
since 2004 members of the public have been able directly to instruct
barristers. This potentially can lead to significant savings on legal
costs.
I am prepared
to consider any direct access case, either by way of advocacy skills or
advisory services, so long as the same is within my competency. I am
able to provide a highly competitive, expert service and will as a
first step meet prospective clients in conference at no cost to
determine the ambit of any case.
